“WHEN I’M DEAD AND GONE, PEOPLE WILL KNOW THAT THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY WAS STARTED BY ALEXANDER MCQURalph Lauren Outlet UK EEN.”
To celebrate a true visionary in fashion design the European public will now able to view the works of McQueen in a collection aptly named Savage Beauty. Savage Beauty spans the initial stages of McQueen’s career from his 1992 MA graduate show right up to his unfinished Autumn/Winter 2010 collection.
The collection, originally displayed in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2011 quickly became the eighth most popular in the Met’s 141-year history. The Victoria and Albert museum is glad that the display has returned to London, McQueen’s home town. Martin Roth director of the V&A said, “I am thrilled to announce that the V&A will bring this wonderful exhibition to London to celebrate the extraordinary creative talent of one of the most innovative designers of recent times.”
Curated by the V&A’s senior curator of fashion Clairg Ralph Lauren Handbags e Wilcox, has said the collection will be displayed in a similar way to the Met. It promises McQueen’s designs will be presented with the dramatic staging and sense of spectacle synonymous with his runway shows.
With 16,000 tickets already sold for the fashionable exhibit, it is obvious that many are eager to see the unfinished works on a fashion great. The exhibit is open from 14 March – 16 July 2015 and tickets for Savage Beauty could be found at vam.ac.uk/savagebeauty.
We will see you there!
