CHANEL SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION 2015: FROM THE GENIUS OF KARL LAGERFELD TO THE RUNWAY, FOLLOW THE CHANEL DREAM.
Have you ever wondered how dreams are made? Chanel will answer to this question because the new Spring Summer collection is absolutely un rêve.
The collection of 73 looks comprised just short of five million sequins in total; it took 100 seamstresses and 22,000 hours to make. The final wedding gown took 2,000 hours alone; and it was all done in just three short months.
Isn’t it incredible?
There are four haute couture ateliers: two devoted for the tailoring – Madame Jacqueline and Madame Josette – and two specialised in the loose and soft fabrics: the “flou” – Madame Martine and Madame Cecile. They transform Lagerfeld’s drawings in pure pieces of art.
