Italy meets Dubai: E. interviews Tala Samman

I wish I could fly to Dubai!

because everything is new and beautiful, there!
because Dubai is linked to the rest of the world as anyone else;
because I love to smell its perfumes …the desert, the see, the flavors…
because I love luxury;

….because I want to interview the most famous blogger from Dubai: Tala Samman!

Tala Samman is just like this marvellous city: young, beautiful and lively.

Her special Middle East charm mixed with a great taste for luxury makes Tala one of the most admired and important woman of the all Dubai area.

That’s the third millennium, shouldn’t we all be a mix of cultures, places and ideas?

I’d like to understand more about Middle East women. All that I know is: they are beautiful, they love fashion and… tell me more about them (I think they are doing very good!)

Thank you!
We are more conservative, glamorous and we definitely like to spend…
we are an emerging market within the fashion industry.

You were born in Chicago, then you studied in London and now, you live in Dubai.
Which country do you think to be more related to you?

Dubai will always be home, it’s comfortable and
I love it but I also love New York & LA.

I know you like good food: have you ever been in Italy?

Yes! I’ve been to Rome, Tuscany and Florence.
Had amazing food, and an even better time. I love oven baked fresh pizza and fresh Ravioli.

Accessories? “Do!” and “Don’t!”

Do over accessorize

Do have fun with accessories

Don’t feel pressured to over accessorize if you want something simple

Let’s talk about sunglasses:
How important do you think sunglasses are to determine a personal style?

Sunglasses are fun; they can really transform the same look in many ways.

How do you choose a pair of sunglasses? Is there a style or a design that you like the most?

Whatever suits my face – usually cat eye or oversized ones.

Do you think they can be an “object of desire”?

Of course!
I once checked 20 stores around the world for certain Karen Walker sunglasses

Now, let’s talk about traveling: have you planed a trip to Italy yet?

I have been and need to plan my next one next summer…

Tell me 3 words in Italian!

I wish I knew some words. Hope to learn more one day. Grazie! Ciao!

Thank you Tala for having shared your secrets with us! :)
